Crawford Vs. Spence Jr.

What’s up Fight Fans!! I never thought we would see the day that these two superstars would finally settle their beef and come together to forge a massive undisputed Welterweight clash. On July 29, Errol Spence Jr. and Terrance Crawford are set to face off in Las Vegas. This fight has been talked about for years and now it is happening at both of these fighters’ primes. Crawford now 35 and Spence at 33 are both performing at their best and they are the two top dogs at 147 pounds. These two men both have resumes that most boxers dream of attaining. Terrence “Bud” Crawford is 39-0 with 30 knockouts, he is a 3 division world champion who was the undisputed champ at 140 pounds and is currently ranked 1 pound for pound in the world. Crawford will be looking to cement his already legendary legacy with a win over Errol Spence Jr. but that is no easy task. Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. is 28-0 with 22 knockouts, he is the unified welterweight champion, and he is ranked 3rd pound for pound in the world. It would quite amazing to see Errol Spence Jr. become the undisputed champ at 147 after all of his challenges outside of the ring. He was in a life threating car crash where many thought he would simply never box again and he also dealt with a detached retina as well. Shockingly this has not seemed to effect Spence at all he has looked just as good or even better after his injury and car accident. In his last fight he faced off against the former WBA welterweight champ Yordenis Ugas who took down the legend Manny Pacquaio. In this fight he ran over Ugas the southpaw Spence came forward all night and destroyed Ugas face leading to a doctors stoppage in the 10th round. Spence believes his time is now and says he is gonna break down Terrance Crawford. This is a lot easier said than done Terrance Crawford is such an incredible boxer who can really do it all in the ring. He is switch-hitter who has great boxing skills but do not get confused he can crack. In his last fight he knocked out David Avanesyan in the 6th round in a dominate performance. This fight is so good for so many reasons Spence is going to come forward trying to push the action and Crawford is gonna be looking to hit Spence on the way in. Now lets take a look at the details of this fight and what each fighter will need to do to win.

Alright lets get into the keys to victory.

Spence jr.

  • Really attack the body to slow down Terrance Crawford
  • Be patient HE CANNOT OVEREXTEND on the straight left hand due to Crawford’s counter punching
  • Make it a fight he simply can not afford to just box with Crawford
  • Come in behind but that defines Spence’s fighting style

Crawford

  • Maintain the distance, really needs to frustrate Spence and bait him in
  • He is gonna have to land something big or Spence will just walk him down all night
  • COUNTER PUNCH of Spence’s jab probably the right hook
  • Honestly just giving a whole lot of different looks to keep Errol off balance

This fight is so exciting for so many reasons it is the fight of this era. It is the biggest fight since Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather and it has the makings to be a whole lot better since these guys are both in their respective primes. With this fight coming and Garcia vs Tank happening back in April it really feels that boxing is back! Now we can get into what everyone’s waiting for who I think has the edge in this fight. Personally I have THE TRUTH Errol Spence Jr. winning this fight. He is just a dog in that ring and the only way I see him losing is if Crawford can some how stop him. Let me remind you Spence has never been down in his career and I see him ripping up Crawford’s body early and closing the show in the later rounds. Crawford has never seen a guy like Errol Spence and just is not as battle tested as Spence. He is as good as the come but I truly believe that Errol Spence will expose the TRUTH and be too much for Terrance Crawford!

-Thanks for tuning in and let me know who you have winning!!
